Experience:
Based at our Helmsley office (and Scarborough and Whitby by appointment), Amy specialises in property work with an emphasis on developer's conveyancing and residential property. Amy is also able to offer assistance in commercial property matters.
Born in Dartford, Kent, Amy moved to North Yorkshire in 1993 (Amy's family are from the area, her grandfather, George Hart and great uncle having founded the well remembered Harts of Whitby) and attended Fyling Hall School near Whitby where she was Head Student. She went on to read Law and Criminology at Sheffield University where she graduated in 2005 with 2:1 BA Honours (Law).
After completing her Legal Practice Course at the York College of Law Amy joined North Yorkshire Law as a Trainee Solicitor in 2006 and was admitted as a Solicitor in September 2008.
Amy is involved with the future development of the Conveyancing Department at North Yorkshire Law including case management, the Department's internal intranet system and the retention of Lexcel, Investors in People and the Customer First accreditations.
Married to David Arnold, Amy has close family ties with the Whitby and Scarborough area.
